14 days Tanzania honeymoon safari

On this day of arrival you will be met at Kilimanjaro International Airport  by our office manager who will then take you to Grand Melia Hotel around Arusha ready for your Tanzania honeymoon safari briefing then relax with your safari starting tomorrow.

Depart after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, the sixth largest park in Tanzania and the theater of the wild in Tanzania. Tarangire national park has a lot to offer you in terms of wildlife and its awe- inspiring sights of the gigantic baobab that dot the park. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of this wonderful reserve and it ensures an abundance of wildlife along the river when they come to get a fair share of the valuable commodity especially in dry seasons. Among animals spotted in Tarangire includes, lions, elephants, leopards, Oryx , dik diks, and a wide range of birds species. Later in the evening you will check in at The Retreat at Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight.

At around 08.00 Am; your driver is waiting at your Hotel’s lounge and your luggage is parked in the 4×4 safari land cruiser ready to take off to Lake Manyara. A small beautiful national park famous for the legendary tree climbing lions and many other large and small mammals. Lunch can be served at the numerous picnic sites in the park or if you wish you may go for hot lunch at the lodge before returning for game drives in the afternoon. You will drive to Ngorongoro in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. All meals included.

After breakfast you drive to Ngorongoro conservation Area then descend into the Magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a day filled with wonder. The staggering crater walls rise up around you and on the floor of the crater you can find everything from grazing wildebeest to racing big cats, black rhinos bursting through the trees and exotic birds taking flight. You can rest in the shade and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the swaying plains, the deep dark forests and the emerald shimmer of this rich and dramatic landscape. After a day full of excitement drive to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge All meals included.

After breakfast in the morning you check out of the lodge at Ngorongoro and drive to Olduvai Gorge where Dr Louise and Mary Leaky discovered old fossils of a hominid called Australopithecus Boisei. This discovery led to the theory that Africa is the cradle of mankind, and at Olduvai Gorge you will be lectured briefly about the theory and the discovery. There after you will drive to Serengeti through the Naabi Hill Gate where you will stop briefly for registration. This day you will take picnic lunch and go ahead with the game drives in the plains for the rest of the afternoon then drive to the Mapito Luxury Camp or similar for dinner and overnight. All meals included

On these days you will have the chance of going for a morning game drive at dawn to see nocturnal animals retiring and the diurnal species waking up for a new day under the beautiful African rising sun. You will then go back to the lodge/camp for breakfast then leave with a lunch box for a full day of game drives on the endless plains of Serengeti. Depending on the months that you have traveled you may witness the Great Migration that involves the movement of over a million and a half wildebeests together with zebras and gazelles in what is the largest mass movement of animals on the planet. Other resident animals include the lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, topis, elands, dikdiks, baboons and many more. Serengeti is also very popular for an amazingly large number of birds species. Overnight at Mapito Luxury Camp or similar camp. All meals included.

Before the sun rises you have the chance to take one last expedition through the Serengeti Safari and see the nocturnal Serengeti animals return from a night hunt. You can enjoy your beautiful breakfast at the hippo pool picnic site. The hippo pool is a wonderful experience where you will watch these magnificent and often hilarious creatures in their natural habitat, frolicking and fighting in the pools, and dwarfing the occasional crocodile on the shore. After then drive to Seronera Air strip for your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival you will be met by our driver who will transfer you to The Zanzibari Boutique Hotel where you will check in and be left to relax and enjoy your room with a private swimming pool. Zanzibar will be your last phase of Tanzania honeymoon safari.

These days are spent at the beach of Zanzibar where you will enjoy from the various activities offered like prison island and blue safari(included). You can also enjoy other optional activities like Sky diving or water sports in the Zanzibar beach. This can be arranged in advance or spontaneously at the resort.

After breakfast from hotel at 8:30 am you will be collected from your hotel by our guide for Safari Blue Tour, A full day soiling / snorkeling f sunbathing on a traditional dhow and seafood barbecue. Setting soil from Fumbo, you will explore the Menai bay where dolphins are often sighted. When dropping the anchor at Kwole sandbank, you can enjoy snorkeling at the coral reefs. Kwole Island – a great place to explore and climb on ancient baobab  tree,  which was fallen down hundreds years ago but still standing toll. Dinner and Overnight at The Zanzibari boutique hotel

Another lovely day in Zanzibar.
After breakfast, depart to a small, once private island drifting in the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean, Prison Island has a long and intriguing history. Used in the late 19th century as a slave prison and then a quarantine zone for yellow fever, today the island caters to tourism with several recently developed guesthouses looking out over its pristine northwest beaches. Arrive by boat and discover this small but characterful spot, home to a group of endangered Aldabra giant tortoises–some of whom have taken up residence in the old abandoned prison. A restaurant on the island provides welcome refreshment.
Later after lunch proceed to Jozani forest reserve for a guided tour into the home of colobus monkey. The forest has now been declared a Jozani – Chaka bay national park and holds the rare Red Colobus Monkeys who are not to be found anywhere else in the world. On this day after breakfast you check out of the beach resort and we drive to the Spice plantations of Zanzibar. At one of these legendary plantations of the spice island of Zanzibar we get to explore the history of the plantations as well as learn more about the spices and fruits that were introduced to the island by explorers from the Arab world and some from Europe. We get to sample also a sumptuous lunch at the spice plantations to get a taste of local Swahili dishes. After this tour in the afternoon we head to Stone town for a tour of this ancient town that has been also declared a world heritage site by the United Nation body; UNESCO. We go down the narrow alleys and streets and get to see the cathedrals, the Old fort, the house of wonders and the Peoples Palace as well. It is an opportunity to buy some spices as well as some souvenirs. Overnight is at The Zanzibari Boutique Hotel

Sadly today is your last day for your Tanzania Honeymoon Safari package. Depending on your flight schedule and departure point you will be transferred to the Zanzibar Airport to take a flight back home. If you are flying out of Dar es Salaam or Nairobi, we will arrange a connection flight for you to catch your flight back home.
